At Tayport Instrumental Band, we like to think of ourselves as a friendly bunch, so if you’ve just moved into the area and are looking for a band to be part of, why not come along and join us! (and if you’re here on holiday, we’re always pleased to welcome visiting players who want to come along for a blow).

We’re situated close to the Universities of St. Andrews, Dundee and Abertay, as well as Elmwood College in Cupar, so if you’re planning to study in the area and want to continue with your brass playing, you’ll find a welcome at TIB.

At the present time, we meet on Mondays at 7.45 pm, with additional rehearsals at other times when needed, especially if working towards a contest. Please check first if you’re planning to come for a blow over the summer holiday period, since we sometimes have the odd night off!

If you’re coming from the Tay Bridge end, follow the main road into Tayport. Maitland Street is on your left just past the school and a church – you’ll see the Gregory Hall at the top of the street. Coming in from the St. Andrews end, you’ll see the Gregory Hall on your right – Maitland Street is first right at the hall. Turn into Maitland Street and park towards the bottom – you’ll see a mini roundabout there – the band hall entrance is on the left of the mini roundabout at Mailand Street’s junction with Nelson Street and Rose Street.

If you need to contact us you can email tayport.band@gmail.com. You can also make contact using the Band’s Group on Facebook. We’ve even added a Google Map below to help you find us.
