First, there&#8217;s my trip to Japan, where&nbsp;I&#8217;ll be giving master classes and recitals, as well as performing as guest soloist with several bands. I first visited Japan when I was&nbsp;<span style=\"color: #333333; font-style: normal; line-height: 24px;\">principal cornet&nbsp;<\/span>with the <a href=\"http:\/\/nybbs.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">National Youth Brass Band of Scotland<\/a> a few years ago and have always wanted to return, so I&#8217;m really looking forward to it.<\/p>\n<p>And second, my trip coincides with the release of my first solo CD &#8220;Vanguard&#8221; conducted by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.russellgray.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Russell Gray<\/a> and also Leigh Baker with my colleagues from&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.leylandband.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Leyland Band<\/a>.
